Am I eligible?

To qualify for the Nevada Medicaid and Check Up programs, you must have limited income. The information on this page will help you determine if you’re eligible for Nevada Medicaid or Nevada Check Up.

Who's eligible?

To get Nevada Medicaid benefits through Anthem, you must have limited income and live in Clarke or Washoe County. Generally, Medicaid members are:

  • Under age 21
  • Pregnant women
  • Families with children
  • Childless adults ages 19-64 who meet the federal income requirements
Other restrictions may apply. Contact your local Division of Welfare and Support Services (DWSS) office to talk with someone about eligibility or to enroll with Anthem.

Families who don’t qualify for Medicaid may still get health care for their children through Nevada Check Up. To get Check Up benefits through Anthem, families must have limited income, live in one of our service areas and have children who:

  • Are under 19 years old
  • Aren’t eligible for Medicaid
  • Don’t have other health insurance coverage
