How to Renew

Don't lose your benefits

The state requires that you renew your eligibility every year. Need help renewing your benefits? Call
1-800-992-0900, option 1.

1. Check your mail

You’ll receive a renewal package about two months before the date you need to renew your benefits.

Nevada Medicaid

The Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) will send you a letter telling you it’s time to renew your Nevada Medicaid benefits.

Nevada Check Up

The Nevada Division of Health Care Financing and Policy will send you a letter telling you it is time to renew your Nevada Check Up benefits. You should receive a renewal package about two months before you need to renew your benefits.

2. Renew your benefits

When you get your letter, renew your benefits. If you don’t renew your eligibility by the date in the letter, you’ll lose your health care benefits. You can return the packet:

  • By mail at the address listed in your packet.
  • Online at www.dwss.nv.gov.
  • Keep track of your application and stay in touch with your caseworker or local health department. If you don’t get your application back within eight weeks, call your caseworker, local health department or the DWSS.
