Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS)

We want to help you live in the comforts of your own home or community as independently as possible, for as long as possible. There are several programs that you might qualify for if you need extra help with daily living. An Anthem service coordinator will work with you to develop a plan of care and will help you enroll in one of the programs below or find other resources in your community.

Multi-Purpose Senior Service Program (MSSP)

You may qualify for MSSP services if you:

  • Are 65 years or older
  • Have a disability
  • Are eligible for nursing facility placement, but wish to remain at home

Services may include:

  • Adult day care
  • Help paying for housing
  • Chore and personal care help
  • Protective supervision
  • Caregiver respite
  • Care management
  • Rides
  • Meal services
  • Social services
  • Communication services

Long-Term Care (LTC)

If you need more care than these programs can provide, your service coordinator can work with you to find other long-term care options in a skilled nursing facility or similar location. To receive LTC services, a written request must be made by your primary care provider (PCP).

How to get started

If you think you need long-term services and supports or want more information about these programs, talk to your PCP or call the Customer Care Center at 1-800-407-4627 (TTY 711) outside L.A. County or 1-888-285-7801 (TTY 711) inside L.A. County.
