Ways to get involved in your community

Anthem Blue Cross wants to hear from you. Each quarter, Anthem Blue Cross has meetings to talk about what is working well and how Anthem Blue Cross can improve. Members are invited to attend. Share your thoughts and make a difference.

Anthem Community Advisory Committee

Anthem Blue Cross has a group called Community Advisory Committee. This group is made up of Anthem staff, community members, and our members. You can join this group if you would like. The group meets regularly to talk about how to improve Anthem Blue Cross policies and services for members and is responsible for:

  • Identifying opportunities to increase members’ access to care
  • Suggesting how Anthem can improve its services
  • Providing input on the cultural and linguistic needs assessment

        Public policy meetings

        You can help improve and change healthcare for yourself and others in your community. By joining, members will be able to:

        • Suggest how we can improve our services and how they are provided
        • Join with leaders in the medical community
        • Work with our senior executives
        • Meet others in your community to learn about resources and share ideas
        • Help us reach the Californians who need us

        To join the public policy committee or learn more, call the Customer Care Center toll free Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pacific time at:

        We offer interpreter services at no cost for individuals who need them.

        Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Discussions

        The memorandum of understanding outlines the roles and responsibilities of county agencies like public health, behavioral health, social services, etc., to work together to support their community’s health. We want you to be involved in the conversation and encourage you to attend these discussions. Please access our library of MOU documents for more information.
